If you’ve not seen Walker yet you need too, in his own words he’s “freaken’ awesome”. Born and raised in Mobile AL, Walker's passion and talent for music was passed down and nurtured by his father, a retired Baptist Music Minister. In 1998, Walker headed to Birmingham where he earned a degree in music (with an emphasis in piano) from Birmingham-Southern College. He returned to Mobile long enough to marry his high school sweetheart and break the news to friends and family that they were moving to Music City. Four years is hardly a week in "music business" years but Walker's talent & work ethic have carried him much further than most expect to have come in such a short time. "I can't decide when my 'big break' is going to happen, but I can always write myself one song closer. I always have the opportunity to hone my craft." Walker is currently in his third year as a staff writer for TMG (The Music Group, Int.), formerly Killen Music Group.

Franklin- Saturday, January 10–Ashley Cleveland and Leslie Satcher
"There is a woman in the room," Ashley Cleveland announces on "Queen of Soul," the rousing lead-off track from her latest release, Before the Daylight’s Shot. Though she may be singing about Aretha Franklin, that simple declaration could double as Cleveland’s own motto as an artist. Blending rock, blues, gospel and folk with her distinct open-tuned guitar playing, she has forged an unmistakable sound that has won her two Grammy Awards, three Dove Awards, a place on countless year-end Top Ten lists and a legion of devoted fans... The long awaited second CD, "Creation" by critically acclaimed singer/songwriter Leslie Satcher is finally complete as her first independent project. One of the latest hits Leslie had a hand in writing is Troubadour, recored by George Strait- the title track off of his 2008 CMA Album of the Year. Franklin- Tuesday, January 13–John Foster
John Foster must have worn out a few radios in his early years. From his intimate familiarity with so many diverse styles of music, he couldn't have let the dial rest for long on any one station. This is not to slight his authenticity in any one genre; it's more a measure of his sincere fascination with all the great music of the last five decades. Some artists claim to have been influenced by a broad band of benchmark artists, past to present, but every time john picks up a guitar or opens his mouth to sing, the proof comes out. His talent has attracted the attention of many: country singer Sammy Kershaw, who saw him performing on stage and soon invited him to join the band; the legendary Beach Boys, who on the recommendation of a mutual friend, had him sing a few number over the phone and were sufficiently impressed to send him a plane ticket in order to have take over the high falsetto vocals written and originally performed by Brian Wilson; and the great Charlie Daniels, who not only appreciates John's performing talents, but signed him as a writer in 2000, a time when other publishers were shrinking their staff numbers. His composition "I'm Not Breakin",co-written with Marc Christian, was recently a top-30 single for Curb recording artist Steve Holy. 7pm show, no cover charge |

Franklin- Friday, January 16–Austin Cunningham
Early on in his career, Austin Cunningham carved out a place for himself on Music Row as a songwriter. He left his hometown of Garland, Texas in 1986 and made the move to Nashville to follow his passion for music. As a songwriter, Austin has had songs recorded by artists such as Hank Williams, Jr., Martina McBride, Dolly Parton, Wynonna, Chris Knight, Del McCoury, and the list goes on. He has songs on feature film soundtracks including Ashley Judd’s Where the Heart Is, and the Richard Gere/Winona Ryder film, Autumn in New York. Austin has performed at the Sundance Film Festival for the Bluebird Café On the Road series, and a few years back, was awarded the coveted Johnny Mercer Award for “Emerging American Songwriters”. Although writing is Austin’s first passion, he is no slouch at performing, blazing a trail with live shows across the U.S. and is a favorite on the Texas Music Scene. With a strong voice and some of the best guitar playing you’ll ever hear, he always manages to captivate his audience. Whether performing an acoustic solo, or rocking the house with a strat and a full band, it is entertainment at it’s best. This is just good, roots music mixed with great stories, and is getting play on XM Radio’s X Country, as well as many Texas Stations. 8:30 show, $10 cover charge, reservations 615-794-5527 |

Franklin- Saturday, January 17–Dan Demay, Casey Bethard and Wynn Varble
Dan Demay is a talented singer/songwriter. "If Something Should Happen" with Darryl Worley was a great blessing in his life and career. As of now he's been fortunate enough to have a song on Martina McBride's new CD "Waking Up Laughin'" called "Everybody Does", also he has a Tracy Lawrence song on his "For The Love" CD called "You Can't Hide Red Neck" with the video being shot for his next radio summer time single... What can't you say about Casey Beathard!?! BMI Songwriter of the Year in 2004, hits he's penned includes: "Walk A Little Straighter" & "I Got A Feelin' " by Billy Currington, "Right Where I Need To Be" by Gary Allen, "I Think The World Needs A Drink," by Terri Clark, "I Will Stand" and the super smash "No Shirt, No Shoes, No Problem," both by Kenny Chesney- the list really does go on and on! There's just not enough room to give these guys justice! Wynn Varble is a major hit writer! His first number one “Have You Forgotten,” by Darryl Worley, and was CMA’s Song of the Year. Most recently he's scored a #1 hit with "Waitin' on a Woman," recorded by Brad Paisley, 2008 CMA Male Vocalist of the Year, and "Waitin' on a Woman" was the 2008 CMA Music Video of the year! His songs have been cut by a range of great artists, including Garth Brooks, Lee Ann Womack, Montgomery Gentry, Gary Allan, Trace Adkins, Kevin Denney, Chris LeDoux, Mark Chesnutt and many others. 8:30 show, $10 cover charge, reservations 615-794-5527 |

Franklin- Tuesday, January 20–Garrett Locklear
Meet Garrett Locklear - The boy from Raleigh, North Carolina. He's played the guitar and piano and sung for as long as he can remember and he'll tell you about long summer days he’s spent driving through the country wailing along to the car radio. But what marks him out, in a region where even the postman sings a bit, is his ability to turn the music in his head into widescreen tunes. That's widescreen as in sweeping melodies and spacious choruses, but his emotive, smooth voice bestows an intimacy that makes each song feel as if it were written for the listener alone. Garrett started to write songs at the age of 15 and they haven’t stopped coming since. The first EP he wrote and produced himself saw noticeable success. “Your Love” was featured on the album, winning the Christian/Gospel award for VH1-sponsored Song of the Year competition. Musically Garrett can be described as a brown eyed modern boy of indie-rock. Aside from drawing on the rich history of musical culture in his surrounding landscape, Garrett spent much of his youth plugged into what was happening on this side of the pond: U2, Oasis, Edwin McCain, Goo Goo Dolls to name but a few. Now relocated, and getting used to the middle Tennessee scenary, hes put the finishing touches on his new EP. Garrett has arrived at a time when quality young male singers are on the up. The door is open and a striking Southerner is about to walk through it.

Leiper's Fork- Saturday, January 3–Chris Janson
The Missouri-born Chris Janson has electrified Nashville's country music scene. In fact, it only took two days at a local Nashville bar to incite a wave of interest from country music's biggest record labels. It could be his intense and vocally stunning performances, his remarkable ability to play the harmonica, or the depth of his songs, but there is something remarkable about this 21 year-old phenomenon. Nashville's critics been buzzing with excitement about this emerging star, and have even likened him to a combination of Mick Jagger and Hank Williams Sr. Chris readily acknowledges his influences, but he has a confidence in his identity that transcends his age. "I want to sound like Chris Janson," he says, "It's just what you see on stage, that's what you'll get on my record. I'm not afraid to push the limits. I don't have a set list at my shows, I just play songs. It's all about soul and feel." Show at 8, $10 cover, for reservations call 615-794-1308.

Leiper's Fork- Friday, January 16– Rhett Akins
Some men are just born to be coutry singers. It has nothing to do with chart positions, signed deals or marketing plans. It has everything to do with a rowdy Friday night crowd singing along to a song you just wrote because they’ve immediately embraced the words. You’ve written about your life and theirs and the connection has nothing to do with music industry politics and everything to do with honest communication and gut reaction. Just ask Rhett Akins. The talented singer/songwriter of ‘That Ain’t My Truck’ or ‘Don’t Get Me Started’ is back with a new collection of songs, People Like Me, that reflect the life he leads on stage and off as a loving father, avid outdoorsman and a quintessential everyman who has much in common with the audiences he’s been singing to fsmor more than a decade. His return to the charts comes courtesy of a new deal with BNA Records and a song that has gotten polarizing attention—“Kiss My Country A**.” Show at 8:30, $10 cover, for reservations call 615-794-1308. |

Leiper's Fork- Saturday, January 17– Rob Robinson, Jack Williams and Gary Ciramelli
Rob Robinson is a soft-spoken Southern gentleman from Mississippi, but if you listen to the lyrics on the 6 CD’s he has written and produced, you quickly realize he has a lot to say. The listener is immediately drawn to the nuance and craft of his lyrics as well as the sonic integrity of his studio production. Rob Robinson and the Dixie UnderRunners’ CD, “When Pigs Fly” is full up with the earthy Rhythm Oil that only comes from Mississippi Mud. The jump country blues of “Cane Pole Fishing” opens the CD with a humorous romp about a boy obsessed with fishing. Rob’s unique slide guitar style shines on this and the following title track “When Pigs Fly”. “When Pigs Fly” is born from a funky backward country optimism that Dwight Yoakum would love. Track #3 “That’s Just Like You” has a country beatlesque melody that always demands another listen...... Jack Williams started writing songs for "PETE TOWNSHEND & ROGER DALTREY" of "THE WHO". From there he had eight of his songs recorded by a huge British rock band called "URIAH HEEP". At that time they were very high up on the arena rock list along with LED ZEPPELIN and BLACK SABBATH. One of his proudest accomplishments came with the hit song he co-wrote with Warren Haynes, "JUST BEFORE THE BULLETS FLY." This song was recorded by Gregg Allman (a title track on an album, and on his greatest hits), blues legend Son Seals (on his greatest hits as well) and was the opening track of the Renegades movie! When it comes to Country Music, in the past he's had two of his songs recorded by "THE OAK RIDGE BOYS" and one by "LANE BRODY." This is just the short-list... Gary Ciramelli has an impressive resume to say the least! Currently he is producing vocals for Mica Roberts' debut album to be released on Toby Keith's Show Dog Records. "Things A Momma Don't Know" is her current single, a duet with Toby Keith himself! Gary has worked with everyone from Journey, Michael Bolton, Mariah Carey, Celine Dion and Barbara Streisand- just to name a few! Not to mention he can play one mean guitar! This is going to be a great show- don't miss it! Show at 8, $10 cover, for reservations call 615-794-1308. |

Leiper's Fork- Saturday, January 24– Lyman Ellerman and David Wills
Hailing from Illinois, Ellerman gained an extensive fan following across the country as the lead singer of Ragged Jack. Playing mostly originals in his live shows, Ellerman’s songs, ranging from traditional country to relentless southern rock grooves, resonate with an audience as diverse as his music. Partnering with legendary writers such as Buddy Brock, Will Nance and the late George McCorkle, Ellerman has spent the last four years in Nashville honing his skill... An ASCAP Award winning songwriter and recipient of Multiple RIAA Gold, Platinum and Multiplatinum Awards, David scored his first top 5 hit, with his first release as a recording artist, on Epic Recods with "A Song On The Jukebox." David toured with Country Music Legends Charlie Rich and Charley Pride singing and writing his way around the world. As a songwriter his songs speak for themselves, the number one song "The Last Thing I Needed Tonigt" by John Schnieder, and other hits "Wild Horses" by Garth Brooks, "If You're Thinking You Want A Stranger" by George Strait are found on his extensive discography- and the list goes on and on. Show at 8:30, $10 cover, for reservations call 615-794-1308. |
